Hi:
After either 'Norton S.W. 2006' or 'MS Update,'
'Warning' box popping up in the middle of the screen,

"Attribute Seek Error Rate changes from 200 to 100"

Wonder what does it mean?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Same answer as in microsoft.public.windowsxp.perform_maintain

Hi:
Having read the web-site, above, to be honest, it made me quite scared.
However, since last night I never seen the 'warning' box again.

This computer is fairly new, HP Pavillion that I purchase about a couple
of years ago and running good without any problems. This is just my 'pure'
guess, but probably 'Norton S.W. 2006' might have picked up some 'bad'
thing during its running. Because, A-drive caused a lot of problem while
Norton was checking.

Since I didn't see anything today, then I leave as is.
If things getting 'rough,' I plan to back-up as much as I can.

Thanks for your concern. I appreciate it.

note): This site is a terrific place to ask, because there are many
professionals
who are eager to help the best they can. Thanks ALL.
