attachments

When attaching to an email, my outlook 2003 sp3 locks up. I've run virus
scans and detectors, and found nothing. Does anyone know if this is a known
issue? Would office 2007 address this? I'd appreciate any help.

Mapped drives can slow things down, especially those drives that are inactive
and not used regularly. It doesn't matter what version of Outlook you're
using.
Are these drives being deleted and remapped regularly via a login script or
not?
 
No, they aren't deleted and remapped. I've had the same drives mapped for
quite some time and this problem has only happened in the last 2-3 weeks.
It's happened both times on a Friday, but the 2nd time it lasted 2 days. I
removed a couple of the mapped drives I no longer use.
