Attachments missing when sending via POP3

Starting a few weeks ago, attachments (Word, Excel) are
getting stripped from outgoing email. No error message
to me or recipient. Email always goes through, it's just
the attachments that are missing. No problems using
Outlook with Hotmail, just Outlook w/ POP3 (Comcast
cable). Also no problems if I bypass Outlook and send
email (w/ attachment) directly from Comcast. Thanks.

Are the recipients also using Outlook? If not, make sure you use HTML
or Plain Text format when sending messages to those users. Don't use
Rich Text format, which is proprietary to Outlook and will cause
problems for other recipients, one of which is that they won't get your
attachments.
