Attachments in SP2

Installed SP2 but cannot open attachments in email or newsgroups. What to
do?

In OE, try going to tools/options/security and uncheck "Do not allow
attachments to be saved or opened....."

You realize that Microsoft has done that on purpose - right! It is because
so many peoples computers are infected when opening attachments to e-mail.
It is one of the primary sources of computer infections.

If you are absolutely certain that the attachment is safe, do as SusieQ
says. Then take the settings back to the default, which will protect you
from silly errors.
