attachments grayed out

All of my incoming attachments are automatically grayed
out. Anyone know how to ungray them so I can open and
read my attachments?
 
Assuming you are using Outlook Express (note: for future posts, this is an
Outlook group, not Outlook Express):

Tools->Options->Security. Uncheck the option to not display potentially
harmful attachments. And PLEASE, don't open attachments from unknown
senders? Or even those that you know but have not requested a file from.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
