attachments are opening up in document map view

If I open up a Word attachment in Outlook 2003 it opens up in document map
view instead of what it was saved in, this does not occur for documents I
have locally on my computer. How do I have outlook open the attachment in the
orignal view it was saved in?

In Word, go to tools, options, general. Uncheck 'allow starting in reading
layout".
