One morning I wake up, try to attach a file to an E-mail and instead of
attaching, the file and its icon are inserted directly into the body od
my mail. What's with that? Have I unwittingly changed my E-mail setting
to insert files and their icons directly into my mails rather than as
an attachment? Help!!!!

Hi

The reason why the icon appears on the actual email is because the viewing
setting and sending settings have changed

to change them back simply go to tools - options and the mail format tab and
there you can change the email format from either: -

Microsoft Outlook rich text
HTML
Text

outlook rich text places the attchment as an icon in the email, whilst HTML
place the attachment in a seperate box, and Text is the very basic text with
no colour

hope this helps

many thanks
