Attachment question in Outlook 2000

Is there a way to for Outlook NOT to store the actual attachement in the
"sent" box? Can it just note in the message the name of the file sent?
This would help to eliminate duplication since any files sent are
already stored elsewhere and to reduce the storage size in the "sent" box.
I have searched for an answer on this one for a while. No luck... Any
help would be appreciated!

Not that I know of apart from removing the attachment . Maybe someone else
would know
