Attaching external files to records

I have a database which ( amongst other things) has a feild to maintain a log
of any work/ correspondance that has been completed by the owner. As part of
this history log, I would like to try and attach external files to records
that would help maintain this log. Examples would be emails, word documents
etc.

The question is...how can I attach external files to specific records in a
database.

Add a text field and store the path to the external file. You can use
ShellExecute to start any registered file in the application, so ti is a
simple coding matter to start and run the file. All the code you need is on
the Access Web:
