Attaching and sending Draft e-mails

Nelson

My company recently upgraded to Outlook XP with Exchange
2000. In Outlook 2000 I could create a draft email attach
it to another e-mail and send it to my boss. If he liked
it he could then click on actions and hit forward and send
the attached draft e-mail from his account. In Outlook XP
I can only do this if I disable Word as my E-mail editor.
Is there any way to get this to work if I want to use Word
as my e-mail editor under Outlook XP? Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure what you issue is here. If you send him a draft and he opens
the draft with Word as the editor he would see the exact same message as
when composing a new with the difference that there is already something in
it. Since the draft has never been send there is no need to forward it.

I create a precomposed e-mail for my boss. I attach it to
an emial that I send to him. He reviews the draft that I
created and if he likes it he will then send it out as if
he created it. it saves him time with everything else we
have going on. The problem is when using word as the
email editor we can not get the draft that I attached to
the e-mail I sent to my boss to send. When my boss opens
teh draft the send button is grayed out and there is no
action menu to forward the email so that he can send it
out.

Correct. If you save it first you won't have this issue.

Basically your request is for either having the Send button available when
opening a draft as attachment or having the Actions menu available when
having Word as the e-mail editor.

You can file this wish here;

If I don't forget I'll post an "internal" request for you as well as I think
having Word as the e-mail editor should expand your options and not limit
them.
