I am trying to attach a jpeg to an email but it also shows in the body of the
email as the image. I don't want the image to show in the body of the email.
What am I doing wrong.

Whether the attached image also shows at the end of the email body is up to
the recipient's email program. The sender has no control over that.

Thanks for your reply. How do I control it as a recipient? Is there someway I
can set my email so that I don't get the picture in the body of my received
emails?

Tools>options>read tab>select read all messages in plain text>apply>ok

To toggle between Rich and Plain text, if you wish to see a Rich text
message, use the keystrokes Ctrl, V, H, with the message selected.

Moving away from that message will revert to Plain text view.

In Windows Mail you can only suppress the display of an attached picture
by severely curtailing display of HTML formatted messages.
Steve already gave you the solution, but most people aren't going to like it.
