Attach zip file in Outlook 2003

Hi!
I have recently upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003 (using a Microsoft
Exchange Server). And now I have discovered a problem with zip files in
Outlook. I have created a zip file, and saved it on a network disk. When I
create a new mail, and choose Insert - File, i browse to the right folder,
but the zip file does not show. It does show in Windows Explorer, and I can
rightclick it and choose Send To - Mail recipient. But why can't I insert it
in a new mail? It works if I know the full name of the file, and writes it in
the Filename-filed, like Test.zip. And then press Insert. But the file does
not show in the list. I have tested in Outlook 2000, and all zip files is
displayed... Please help!!!

Thanx!

Best regards,
Mimmi :)

Do/did you have a third party zip application installed?
Anyway, try the following;

Start-> Run; regsvr32 zipfldr.dll

After that; restart your computer

When you browse to the folder, did you change Files of type: to All
Files (*.*) ?

Right click on the zip file or file name you want to zip and there
should see an option 'zip and email' or 'Email.

Hi!
Yes, I show *.* All Files. I normally use WinZip, but have also tried with
the build in zip-function in Windows XP.

It works when i rightclick the file and choose Zip and Mail, or Send to -
Mail recipient. But I'm used to use the insert function in the email that i'm
composing, and so are my coworkers (I work in a company with around 60
employees). So the best thing would be to find a way to solve the problem
using the Insert function.

But thank you all for your response so far!!!

Mimmi :)
