ATT Yahoo's security upgrade won't let outlook 2003 recieve mail

I got a notice from att about security upgrade and new server which requires
ssl encryption for both outgoing and incoming server. I made the changes, I
can send mail, but I can't get mail in my outlook inbox. It is on the
webmail, but when I try to send/receive, I get the following error.

Task 'pop.swbell.yahoo.com - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC90) : 'Your
incoming (POP3) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue
to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet
service provider (ISP). The server responded: -ERR problem retrieving
message.'
After 4 hrs, att/yahoo decides that it is an outlook problem.

Don't you just love change? Any help?

The part of the error message you quoted doesn't reveal the name
of the mail servers you are using, but it sounds like you failed to update
those as required by
http://helpme.att.net/article.php?item=10918
Specifically, the incoming mail server name should be pop.att.yahoo.com,
not pop.swbell.yahoo.com.

Yeah, I made that change, I even went back and changed the name of the
connection from pop.swbell to "new att.
The tech support guy at ATT said that he thought I had a corrupt outlook
database file, and that it was beyond their scope.....
