ATN8X-E (Deluxe) and scsi AHA-2940UW

In trying to swap my OS to the new m/b I wanted to hook up
some scsi drive I've been using and the ATN8X-e does not
seem to automatically recognize my scsi board. Is there a
setting in the bios (other than the 'boot from scsi') that I need
to set? I have a Adaptec AHA-2940UW and some IBM drives.

Thanks,

If you want to use a Windows OS containing harddrive with a new motherboard.
you HAVE to reformat the harddrive and do a FRESH install of Windows with
the new motherboard. Otherwise you'll be suffering ongoing Registry errors.

Wrong, Methuselah breath. In this case I had to change the BIOS PCI
settings to
exclude IRQ 11 from Plug and Play. After that it could use the AHA-2940UW
SCSI
board and drives. It just looked like there were too many devices using IRQ
11.

In regard to your comment, I guess I'm just lucky because my Windows 2000
seems
to like the Asus board and I have no trouble at all with the old AS Rock
install.
Since I test a lot of software I'm meticulous about backing up my registry
and
tracking what drivers are installed and removed. I don't mean to seem
ungrateful,
because I'm always happy to get advice. You just didn't address my
question.
