atlas to hard drive

Hi-I don't know if it's allowed in this forum, but I would like a NAME of a
world atlas program that I can install & not have to insert the cd every time
I want to use it! I'm lazy. I like the '98 New Millennium I have but it's
used by inserting the disc. Encarta is ok but I don't feel like installing
over 2 gigs to get this one feature.
Help, please.

An option is to do what many gamers do and that is use an application that
will create a virtual CD drive. In this way you create an image of the CD
and store it on your computer then point it to the Virtual Drive. The
virtual drive stays resident so the "disc" is always available. Here is an
example of what I mean http://www.bmsoftware.com/virtualcd.htm If you use a
virtual drive you may have to reassign drive letters so it is the first
drive letter after your hard drive(s)
Other programs include Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and if you have Nero
Ultra it has the Nero Image tool which will create a virtual drive.
