Atlas build error on server

G

Guest

I installed atlas on my dev machine and everything works great. When I try
to get it working on the server, I get this error when building the page:
"Request for the permission of type 'System.Web.AspNetHostingPermission,
System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'
failed" on the line where I have the ScriptManager tag. I set everything up
the same as I did on my dev machine, but nothing works. I added the
reference to the atlas dll in /bin. I registered the assembly on the page.
I installed atlas on the server. Does anyone know what I can do? Thanks.

It sounds like a permissions problem with the user that IIS is running
as. Did you check permissions on the dll's and ensure that the web user
has permission to them? Shouldnt really be a problem if you have the
root folder set to inherit permissions.

Is IIS running as a custom user?
Is this running on a hosting account or a production system in house?

Not a custom user. Production server in house.

BTW, I have tried it on 2 in house servers with the same result.

Doesn't seem to be permission. I just gave Everyone Full Control on the dll
and it didn't help. The site has other dlls referenced with no problems.

Thanks.

asp.net 2.0 supports hosting permissions, which are set on the server. this
controls what type of code the website can run. your website is not setup to
allow atlas. check the permissions atlas needs, and add them to the server
setup

I got exactly the same error(s)s as you do. Do you find out how to solve
this problem yet? if so, would you let me know know too. I has check all the
permissions etc. and it seems no different.

No. I have still not solved it. I can't figure it out. Please let me know

I have the same problem. I don't think its nessarly an Atlas overall
problem. I have published websites on this server that are using atlas.

When I try to build the site on the webserver my three .asx files are the
ones that get that permission error. I'm using webparts and webusercontrols.
are you guys? Maybe we can find some commonality.

I'm not using webparts or web user controls. I'm having this problem on aspx
pages with vb.net code-behind.
