I have had this card for a few weeks now and through no help from ATI have
gotten the thing to run without crashing etc. I am using 8.2 MMC with 1.4
Remote Control software and i had to apply the Microsoft Hotfix for Hyper
Threading systems. The only thing i am having issues with is unattended
recording. If i pick a program to record out of Gemstar half the time it
works perfectly. The other times it will either not start or it will quit
recording at random times during the program. Has anybody else experienced
this and if so was there a fix or solution? I have been happy with my Radeon
video card and the driver updates by ATI but the software associated with
this tuner card is an utter pile of crap. I have zero confidence that if i
pick a program to record it will actually be recorded.
My cable provider is on the verge of rolling out DVR/HDTV reciever/Cable
boxes. I cant wait. The i can record with confidence.
