ATI TV tuner incompatibility w/ Hyper Threading

I was just wondering if there is a patch that I can
download somewhere. I wasn't able to find a link to it.
Currently I have HT disabled in my bios so that the TV
tuner wouldn't freeze on me when I watch TV or exit the
program. Thanks!

Yes, that problem came up during my search... Actually
that's not my specific problem. I don't have any problem
with ks.sys. It's the TV tuner that is crashing... but
that was a great website, thanks!

 

[I found one solution]

I found out that mcafee was causing the reboot/ lockup
problem. In the Mcafee console "scan on idle" was set I
removed it and the problem went away. Prior to that it
was rebooting about every 5 minutes. Check for any
programs that might run when idle. I noticed lots of disk
activity before each reboot.

PS: I also loaded the "streams.sys" fix but it didn't
help.
