ATI trade up program

Has anyone tried the ATI trade up program? If so, was it worth it? Did you
get a good deal?

sure did, and sure was. Went from X300 that came with my Dell, to X700 pro
PCI express and saved $$. Turn around and credit was a breeze.

How much did they give you for the X300 and how much did they charge
you for the X700?

Depends on where you are. I traded in a 3D Rage 1 to get $50 toward a Radeon
9800Pro. In the end, after taxes and shipping, I saved $5 compared to buying
a Sapphire 9800Pro at NCIX.

That's $5 on top of $300, not worth the trouble considering the risks
involved (e.g. your old card gets "lost" on its way to ATi, ATi then
withholds the full bloated amount for the new card...)

How much did they give you for the X300 and how much did they charge
you for the X700?

At the time I did mine (03/05) $50 for X300 and I think it was $200 for the
X700 net cost to me $150. I see now its an even better deal.
