ATI All-In-Wonder 9600 Pro-'Driving' a High-Def. TV - Help/Adice Requested

I've just completed installing an ATI AIW 9600 Pro and connected it to
my high-def capable TV using ('for now'; don't have ATI's optional
high-def adapter yet) COMPOSITE inputs and seem to be running into (at
least) some problems:

1. While I CAN ***output*** to the TV the exact same content as I see
on my PC's monitor (set at 800x600), *** I CANNOT seem to change the
TV's 'DISPLAY PROPERTIES->SETTINGS values' for screen res and color
quality respectively from 640x480 and 8 bit color respectively to
anything 'higher'***.

SHOULD I BE ABLE TO DO THIS OR NOT?

OR, are these values/fields kind of irrelevant when the 'second
monitor' is (specifically) a TV?

If I SHOULD be able to change them, can anyone suggest WHY I seem to
be unable to do so?

For example, even though at present the 'DISPLAY PROPERTIES->SETTINGS
VALUE' for the TV (Monitor 2) says 640x480, ***the ATI DISPLAYS Tab
('past' the Display Properties->Settings->Advanced Button) says
800x600.***

***Further***, Clicking on the TV Properties Tab (at that point)
reveals a 'Max Possible Resolution' for the TV of 1024x768?

Also worth noting) is that even at a claimed ATI DISPLAYS Tab value of
800x600, the picture doesn't look any sharper than when IT says
640x480.

Ideas? Suggestions?

2. Nothwithstanding the fact that I can diplay on my TV a duplicate of
my desktop as displayed on my monitor, if I fire up the ATI TV app,
while I get SOUND coming out of my TV's speakers, the VIDEO PORTION of
the ATI TV APP does not display on the TV (does display just fine on
the PC's monitor). Instead, I just get a BLACK screen within the
bounds of the ATI TV display (again, on the high def TV only).

3. Would getting and using the optional high-def adapter from ATI and
going into the TV through its YPrPb (high-def) inputs make any
difference?

Essentially, I want to be able to output to/drive the HIGH DEF TV with
the best possible 'image' from the PC/ATI All-In-Wonder Pro card.

4. What exactly is the relationship, if any, between the PC's Display
Settings and an attached TV's settings in the case of the AIW 9600
Pro.?

For example, can you run 'period'/with impunity different REFRESH
RATES, resolutions, etc. on the two? Ie. my previous AIW card seemed
to require one run the same refresh rates on both (not higher than 60
Hz BUT it seems that I can run them higher than 60 on the display with
the 9600 Pro. OR, maybe this is causing some of my problems?

TIA!

I have 8500DV with YPrPb adapter and I was greatly disappointed and stopped
trying to use it. First the picture quality was not much different than TV
out except you can adjust the format/size just like a monitor. I have 10%
overscan (i.e. all the edges (about to the t in the start button on windows
XP) are missing) with my Hitachi Project TV that could not be changed. Makes
it useless for playing games. I also have XBOX hooked to my TV and it works
perfectly; so I don't understand why ATI cannot fix this problem. Look
carefully at the documentation to see if they have fixed this problem....
