Experts out there:

If I had a choice to get an ATI 9550 250MB DDR or a ATI 9660 128MB
which should I choose and why?

Thanks in advance!

HELLO NURSE.

been doing some reading on these. The 9550 comes in several flavors 250 and
400 core, 64 and 128 bit memory so it makes a huge difference which one you
are looking. Similarily, the 9600 non-pro has some variations but not as
much.
A 9550xt 400 core 128 bit memory gets close to 9600 pro speeds
A 9550 250 core 128 bit is close to 9600 and a 9550 250 core 64 bit is just
too slow.
The 9550 tend to score better on 3dmark03 and trail quite a bit on 3dmark01
which suggests some shader? optimization.
I have seen no evidence of the 9550 being a good overclocker - I was hoping.
For the $25 bucks extra I would still buy the 9600.

found some good articles on overclocking 9550 - seems the HIS vivo
overclocks well
