Stuart

I am currently having problems removing a program from my
program files.

History so far ;

Recently downloaded a free anti virus program from a
magazine [ Command Anti Virus ] and now no longer want it

Went to the add / remove section of the control panel and
attempted to remove it. All was going well until the
computer froze and I had to use the task manager to end
the task to get out

Command Anti Virus icon still in notification area and
will not go away,also program will now not open

Found that the program still existed in the program files
on my computer, thus explaining the icon in the
notification area. Tried to delete it from here and it
stated the following ;

" Error deleting file or folder
Cannot delete at170 Access is denied
Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that
the file is not currently in use "

Would appreciate any ideas to get rid of this

Cheers Stuart

Try to uninstall it in Safe Mode.
