I believe the m/b power connectors are not compatible. The ATX m/b power
connector is different than an AT power connector. On an AT board there are
two side-by-side while an ATX design is just one connector.

Not really.
Some 'late model' AT boards, do allow an ATX supply to be used with a
relatively simple adapter, but the problem normally is that the ATX supply,
contains two actual supplies in the one case. The small one powers part of
the motherboard for standby operation, and generates the signal to turn on
the main supply. The AT board doesn't have this circuitry. It is possible to
'bodge' a wiring system to run an ATX supply, but given the numbers of AT
supplies circulating allmost free at computer junk fairs, it is easier to
just get an AT supply....

I have a old motherboard, but not sure if it is AT or ATX form factor, the
board is :

Can you tell me, please, if it is an AT Form Factor ?

thanks

Great mobo. I still have three running. Fastest processor you can run
"stock" is a K2-400 but you can run the 500 or 550 with minor mods
as far as I recall. If you are interested, I can post some links to
sites that will tell you how to get the faster AMD processors running.

If you can't find a power supply I can ship you one but you'd have to
pay a few bucks for the boxing and shipping. I don't know if it's
worth it to you. You can probably find someone to give you one in
your local area.

I think I have one or two of these boards just laying around if someone
wants them. Make me a fair offer and they can be yours!
I have a few of those AT power supplies too! <g>
I believe some of the newer power supplies are Bi-form (AT and ATX) with a
switch near the plug!
later,
dave

Pawnshops, used computer places, etc., often have AT cases -
complete with PSU - for $5 or $10.

Also watch "for sale" newsgroups for your area. And if
you post a "Wanted - AT Power Supply" ad you stand a good
chance of getting a reply telling you its yours if you
simply take the trouble to go get it.

What web link has Pawnshops ?

Just drive around town on the wrong side of the tracks. :-D
Half of the shops will be bars.
The other half will be pawn shops.
