ASUS vs ASROCK

[Q]

I have been told that ASROCK is an inferior spin off of ASUS.
What is wrong with this board?:

1. Slower Overall?
2. Slower Video for games?
3. Goes "bad" sooner?
4. Fewer features?
5. Unreliable -intermittant crashes?

An ASROCK was put in my machine when it was repaired. So far so good. But I
am CONCERNED!!

Asrock is a Chinese daughter company of Asus. The plant is build at Asus'
quality standards and Chines employees are surely not less qualified than
people in Asus' factory. But their salary is a lot lower.
Asus' objective was to compete with many low-priced motherboards
manufacturers and to avoid to loose marketshare in that segment. They also
had to avoid to compete with their own products either.
The result was Asrock, building quality motherboards in China at lower cost,
but with less features or performance than the Asus counterparts at the same
period of manufacturing.

Less features or performance I can live with. Suddenly going "bad" would
have been a different story.
