Asus PAG800-E delux will not boot?

Just put everything together and when i try to boot i get the audio
message. System CPU test Failed. I checked everything. I have a slot
478 2.8 ghz 800FSb

Your problem sounds familiar. See my entry this news-group at 6:44PN on

On occasion, I'd get a "CPU test Failed" BIOS error also, but that usually
happened after a power-off restart.

Try some more "cold restarts" to see if you can even get a video display of
the BIOS error message and if you do, verify the correct BIOS settings and
press on thru the POST process. I serious doubt that you have a failed CPU.

I'd certainly report the problem to the ASUS helpdesk an let know you
problems. I'd be interested to hear their suggestions.
