Asus P4800 Deluxe. Is two HD S-ATA NO RAID possible?

I have a Asus P4800 Deluxe motherboard and I have used one Seagate
Barracuda 160Gb for some weeks. Now I've just bought another Seagate
Barracuda 160Gb 'cause I need more space (who doesn't?). Now to my
question.
I it possible to use those two S-ATA drives without RAID? And if so,
what settings in BIOS shall I use?
I have read the manual and tried several things but the system just
hangs "detecting IDE master 3".
If I boot the system with just one of the drives everything works just
fine.
