Asus A7V8X and vcore too high

I have an A7V8X with a Barton 2500, so the Vcore should be 1.65.

Motherboard Monitor, Sandra and Asus PcProbe report a Vcore voltage of
1.75, when set in automatic.

So I entered the bios and set the Vcore to 1.65 manually.

But, when I control with Motherboard Monitor, Sandra and Asus PcProbe,
they report a value of 1.75!

Do you think I should try to set the Vcore manually to 1.60?

Thanks

If the board will let you lower it try it, but I think I would try
1.625v first, then 1.60v, and test for stability at each setting, run
memtest86 for at least one pass and prime95 for at least 30 to 60
minutes, if the vcore is set too low you should get an error in these
tests or the system will just reboot/lockup etc...,

btw, 1.75v probably won't hurt the CPU but @ 1.65v it may run a tad
cooler.
