is an Asus A7V socket A board capable of attaching a USB 2.0 hub with USB
2.0 devices to
that hub? As long as the Hub is backward compatable with USB 1.1?

If the mobo only supports USB 1.1 you'd probably want something like a
USB 2.0 PCI card. I used a NEC USB2 5 port PCI card in my old mobo,
works great.
