I have a an excel document that was created by someone that no longer works
at my company. It has drop down menus that I need to modify and do not know
how. Also when any selections in the drop down menu are selected the work
next to the one I'm working in changes to the cooresponding item selected
from the drop down. Please tell me where I can go to look at the perameters
that were set up to support this function.

Drop-downs ae usually implemented thru Data Validation. Click on the cell
containing the dropdown and type:

Data > Validation

It will tell you where the list is and then you can edit it.
