When I make a new report without the wizzard I dont know how to assign
a table/querry to the report so I can see the "field list". Suggestions?

Enter the name of the table or query (or the text of a valid SQL statement)
as the Record Source property of the report. You'll find the Record Source
property on the Data tab of the Properties window in report design view. If
you don't see the Properties window, choose Properties from the View menu.

found it by clicking on the square in the upper left corner by the
ruler in design mode.
I thin k the place you suggested only showed my "Control Source"
Thanks

Ah, sorry, I missed a step! The Properties window shows the properties for
whatever is currently selected, which might be the report itself, one of the
sections of the report (Detail, Report Header or Footer, etc) or one of the
controls (text boxes, labels, etc) on the report. If a control is selected,
you'll see the Control Source property but not the Record Source property,
because a control doesn't have a Record Source property. To select the
report you can click that box in the upper left corner as you discovered, or
you can choose Select Report from the Edit menu, or use the keyboard
shortcut Ctrl+R.
