Can you help please?

I am looking to assign ranges for values in a column, I want to assign a
range that based on that number in the adjoining column as follows.

100,001K plus
10,001 to 100K
5,001 to 10K
1,001 to 5K
0 to 1K

Hi

With range limits in increasing order in column A, and the number to group
in cell B1:
=MATCH(B1,$A$1:$A$6,1)
, or the same without limits list on worksheet
=MATCH(B1,{0;1;1001;5001;10001;100001},1)
