I have an Asrock 939 dual vsta mainboard and nvidia 6800GS
Make sure you are not using a screen resolution at a refresh rate that
your monitor does not support. Under Control Panel > Device Manager >
Monitors see if your monitor is detected.
If the above is OK, then I'd suggest downloading the latest drivers from
the nVidia website (make sure you download the GeForce 6 series driver).
Remove the current driver, delete the folder the driver is contained in
(default C:\Program Files\nVidia\WinVista64\(driver folder). Restart
computer and install new driver from download location. I use a program
called Driver Cleaner (DriverCleaner.NET) to make sure all remnants of
the driver are removed (reg keys, etc) - haven't had any problems
updating drivers when needed.
