Aspell with Notepad2?

Has anyone had success using Aspell with Notepad2? I have Notepad2 set
up with a shortcut to Aspell from File, Launch, Open with... .
Sometimes Aspell works, and sometimes the window that opens for Aspell
immediately closes.

I thought at first that the problem was with file names--it seemed that
only file names with spaces in them caused problems. But no--success or
failure really seems to be random. Some files go through, and others
don't. They're all plain old text files, nothing unusual about them.

I should mention that all the files I've tried work perfectly with
metapad and Aspell. So the problem seems to be in the way that Notepad2
sends the file to Aspell. I could use metapad and Aspell and be sorta
happy, but I like the Notepad2 design much more.

Anyone have a suggestion for getting Notepad2 and Aspell to play nicely
together?
