I have the Windows Xp Home Edition. Can I use it for Web Page
development with ASP.NET. Can I download the Visual Studio .NET on
Windows Xp Home edition for web development.

Yes, you can and best if you have big Disk space as these Development tools
famous with cluttering the drive, so Big disk space and preferable if you
have External HDD and install these apps on it or safe your Projects on it.

Sure you can use it for ASP.NET development & you can use the free express
version here:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/downloads/

What 'nass' mentioned about cluttering up disk space can be true if you buy
the full version & do a full install.

Example: VS.NET 2003 Enterprise Architect is around 1.9 Gb but then you have
1.5 Gb of the MSDN files. Cannot remember the size of my VS.NET 2005 Pro for
a full install - sorry, but the Express (link above) isn't too big

My suggestion to you is make sure you have a bare minimum of 1 Gb RAM & a
decent speed processor because you will need it.
