Can anyone provide some perspective on why suddenly a user account for
ASP.NET Machine A. . . appeared on my home computer? I have no idea what
this is for or how it came to be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Tab

"When you install the .NET Framework 1.1, a hidden local user account that
is named ASPNET is created. When you start Windows, Windows treats the
ASPNET local user account as an additional user account, although the ASPNET
user account is hidden."

Just ignore it. It's normal and doesn't hurt you in any way.
