It's just a case of finding the right wizard to configure ASP.NET and
IIS appropriately.
If you go to Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools, you'll
find the "Configure Your Server" wizard. Launch the wizard and select
'Add a role', then 'Web Application Server'. There is also a checkbox
to "enable asp.net". Once this completes the machine should be good to
go.
If IIS is already installed, nothing else is necessary other than to install
the .Net platform on the server. If IIS is NOT installed, the easiest way to
go is to install IIS first, and then the .Net platform.
