ASP.net hosting?

D

David

Any recommendations for a web site rating ASP.net web hosting
providers? The one I have seen are poor and also alot of providers
offer ASP.net but mySql rather than MS SQL.

I just need a reasonable provider that handles ASP.net 2 and MS SQl!

I was searching for one not long ago and was recommended CrystalTech
(http://www.crystaltech.com). They have good ASP.Net 2.0 hosting and also
offer packages with SQL 2005 for pretty cheap and so far the support has
been excellent with no downtime to speak of. I would shy away fromthe old
Interland (now web.com). They had some of the worst tech support I've ever
experienced and it took me weeks to get over a problem that they caused on
how my account was setup.

Hope this helps,

if you want european hosting, i can recommend Hosting365.ie as they are the

their datacenter and their facilities are very impressive.

According to their website
(http://www.hosting365.com/hosting-win-enterprise.php), they don't currently
support SQL Server 2005. HostingUK.net fully supports SQL Server 2005,
including Reporting Services, and they also support multi-maps
(http://www.hostinguk.net/services/webspace_details.asp) and SharePoint.

i don't work for Hosting365, or get referrals etc, but i am that impressed
with their service and support that i would go to the bother of recommending
them on a post like this. they also fully meet the original posters
requirements, unless he is explicitly looking for sql 2005 services.

you can try godaddy.com , cheap price for hosting asp 2.0 web. But I got
problem for writing in database on web. The folder security stop user from
writing data back to database. (Access)

I've heard varying results from Webhost4life.com
(http://webhost4life.com?refid=dwier) - however, all my sites are hosted
there and I have had pretty good service from them.
I have had a very hard time with my clients who use Godaddy for their
website host - one thing I really don't like is that there is no Enterprise
manager access to the SQL databases - you must go through their interface.
Also, their site is not built for navigation - maybe it's just me, but I
have a hard time finding just the right items when I need to.

GoDaddy has great prices, but you get what you pay for in the tech
support department. I know very little about networking and have done
a lot of coding in straight ASP (I'm a convert to ASP.NET). The guys
at GoDaddy made me look brilliant. I would stay away from them unless
you never expect to have problems and never expect them to change or
upgrade or fix anything on their servers. Even if you tell them what's
wrong, they won't understand it.
