Is there some kind of default I need to reset in order for the arra
formulas with the {} bracket to take effect after pressin
CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER? For some reason the formula is not bracketed {} eve
after pressing the CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER keys.

You must be in Edit Mode when you CRTL + SHIFT + ENTER.

Double-click on the cell or click on formula in formula bar.

Then CSE
