hi,
lately ive been having a problem with the order of my photo files.
have them all named in this format: YYYY-MM-DD (#)
eg 2005-11-08 (22).
this is so i can chronologically order my photos by simply arrangin
them by name. i have been renaming them this way for 3 years in batc
using just windows XP. so the numbers begin at (1) and not (01). [i
they did start at 01, i would have no problem]
lets say i have 22 files in a folder.when i used to click sort by name
they would all raagnge like so:
2005-11-08 (1)
2005-11-08 (2)
2005-11-08 (3)... etc
to
2005-11-08 (21)
2005-11-08 (22)
this is perfect, just as i want it.
but now what happens is this:
2005-11-08 (1)
2005-11-08 (10)
2005-11-08 (11
2005-11-08 (12)...
all the way to
2005-11-08 (19)
2005-11-08 (2)
2005-11-08 (20)
2005-11-08 (21)
2005-11-08 (22)etc
this is most frustrating because now the files dont go in order.
remember when i had windows 98 that it used to order the files in thi
manner as well.
does anyone know how i can restore this setting to the original window
xp setting. any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
