Argg! How do I find an invalid ext reference when updating links?

I get the message invalid ext reference when I am trying to replace a link.

I have deleted some of the sheet of the feeder sheet but I thought I had
already updated those where the reference had been deleted?

How can I get round this problem?

See if there are any broken links in menu Insert > Names > Define.
