Area Code rules to exclude prefixes

I have so many prefixes in one area code that are long distance but only two
that are local. filling in all the hundred prefixes will take too long

Outlook does not dial. Never has.
Your request is of the operating system, not Outlook.

You don't need to fill in hundreds of prefixes. Just make two separate area
code rules for this area code:
- Make the first rule a general rule by selecting "Include all the prefixes
within this area code". Check the boxes for "Dial:" and "Include the area
code", as necessary.
- Make the second rule the exception for your two prefixes that are local
dialing by selecting "Include only the prefixes in the list below". De-select
the "Dial" and "Incude the area code" boxes.

Btw, when you're looking for support, don't make it a suggestion for
Microsoft. Just ask your question.
