Are you using Vista x64?

I would like to know how many persons in here are running the 64-bit
version
of Windows Vista, (any build)? What has your experience been like so
far? If
you are dual booting Vista x64 and x86, have you noticed any
inconsistencies?

Thanks

I was running the lastest MSDN release of Vista x64 (5308), but it was
unusable, very slow, leaked vast amounts of memmory, and required
rebooting every few hours.

I would love to test a newer x64 build of Vista, but Microsoft deem me not
worthy :-(

Running Connect version 5381, the staged build I believe. Still get
C:\Windows appearing in the bottom right though for some reason...

Athlon 64 X2 4400+, Dual Core, Skt 939, 1.5GB RAM, 160GB SATA, nVidia
GeForce 6200 (WDDM), Windows Performance Rating of 4 ;o)

Don't have it dual booted because to be honest, relatively new computer, and
regardless of how many years I've been in this line of work, still a wee bit
scared of doing it.

I have 5365 x64 installed on my laptop, runs really well. Still
downloading 5381 x64, so will have to wait and see. Just waiting for my
monitor to get fixed as the temporary one I'm using only gives me a
1024x768 resolution, once I have that back, I'll be installing x64 on my
PC. So far though, quite impressed.

Yeah, I am still running 5365 x64 on my desktop. Does it create an
additional Microsoft Windows entry on the Windows Boot Manager for you? I
won't be downloading 5381 x64 until Tuesday. I suspect you have a dual layer
burner or you will be using Daemon tools to install it because I don't know
of any single layer DVDs that can hold 4.8 GBs.

Poo sticks, didn't realise it was *that* big :| On my laptop, it tidied
up the Boot Menu to Windows and Older version of windows. On my PC
(having just tried 5381), it still has a multitude of options, all
Windows and one previous version! And it might just fit on a single
layer DVD. It's 4834mb, which is 4.7gb... So will have to see :) If not,
I'll be mounting it.

I have run both since day 1 . I prefer x64. At one time I had 5 versions
of Vista going , a Mandriva, 2 XP x64 and one x86. Only problem I have
with Vista x64 had is getting an AV to work (now have to disable drivers.

No, but I did pull out my Old Windows XP X64 Edition CD Yesterday out of
Storage (do an Alt + Enter).

P.S. I am down to my Last Hard Disk Drive in My Old Computer, so I Really
Can Not Risk Installing Windows Vista Again until us MSDN Tester's get Beta
2 (when it comes out).

Doing an Alt+Enter says:
Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.3790.2663

Now... isn't that Windows Server 2003, or am I just going barmy?
