Are archive folders part of the total mailbox size Outlook 2003

I get this email every morning "Your mailbox is almost full. Please remove
some messages in order to avoid losing any incoming mail."

I have archive all my emails and my total size for my mailbox is now saying
it is 3267 kb.
So does Outlook 2003 include my Archive folder in it's total size for my
email address ?? I thought it stored it on my harddrive.
Should I use a Personal Folder instead of an Archive Folder ?
Thank you.

No. The archive is in a Personal Folders .pst file. It is totally separate from your mailbox.

Nope, and note that an archive file IS a pst-file.

What is your default delivery location? A pst-file or an Exchange mailbox?

OK, contact your mail admin to ask what your limit is. The mail indicating
that your mailbox is almost full should also mention this.

Note that the Inbox alone makes up the size of your mailbox. Rightclick the
root of your mailbox (the one with the Outlook Today on it)-> Properties->
button Folder Size
