Outlook is eating my e-mails. It has suddenly started archiving my e-mail
and I can't get to them. I have tried all the suggestions for importing,
file management, etc. The archive file is listed, it even shows it's been
modified recently, but when I try to open it or import or anything else, I
get a message that the file is empty. It's not empty, and it's getting
bigger! I just can't get at those e-mails, and evey several days it eats a
few more.

Can someone help?

If you don't like AutoArchive, start with disabling it via Tools-> Options->
tab Other-> button AutoArchive...

Is the Archive folder already shown in your Folder List?
If not use File-> Open-> Outlook Data File... to connect to it.

I have disabled autoarchive now, but I want to get at what has already been
archived.

The folder appears in the folder list, but there is no Inbox, and e-mails
that are in the other folders listed are from 2005-06, before I installed
Outlook 2007.

I have also used File-> Open-> Outlook Data File... to connect to it. It
opens the file but says there are no e-mails, yet the file details show there
is data there, and it was recently modified, dated June 11, and the only
items left in my Inbox start with June 12, so it's eating my e-mail and won't
let me get them back........

Any other suggestions?
