Applying SP's to Access Runtime2002

Hi - does anyone know how to apply service packs to the
base version of Access 2002 runtime? I would like to update
the Office1.cab, AccessRT.msi files etc with the latest service
packs so users do not have to go to office update.

I followed some articles on the Microsoft web site but I believe
these did not work correctly as they were applicable to the entire
office suite and not just Access 2002 runtime.

Thankyou,

Thanks John - I'm referring to applying that patch to my
original distribution package (i.e my CD). That file you mentioned is the
patch that is executed on a client machine where AccessRT installed where as
I want
to update the original runtime package (cab files and MSI) that I release.
Then each user is installing Access RT SP3 and i don't have to
get them to apply the patch exe you mentioned.

Luke, I was looking for a solution also, and was informed that the Packaging
Wizard is just not up to doing this.

Suggestion (from John Viescas) was to buy Wise or InstallShield and a script
from SageKey.

Hi Allen - thanks for responding.
I do have Wise Installation System 9 and use the Access 2002 scripts
from SageKey.
SageKey used to provide AccessRT distributions that were service packed
but I heard they have stopped this (too hard to keep up). Not a bad idea
learning how to do this
myself anyway because I found there service packed version caused Microsoft
SP3 to throw an "Files not as expected" exception.

I have sent an email to SageKey enquiring about their service packed
versions
(I did find they still have SP2 floating around on their web site) but they
have
not got back to me for a long time now.

So I have my CD layout as defined by SageKey for packaging on a CD but
still no way to update the original MSI, CABS etc I release with the latest
microsoft
service packs.

Any ideas would be great.
