I am quite new to using the Microsoft Movie Maker and sure would oblige if
one could help me in guiding as to how to apply effects/transitions on
multiple slides/pictures as selected on the timeline, instead of inserting
one for each?

All your help/guidance or providing a source of helpful relevant material on
net shall be highly appreciated.

Thanx in advance.

You can't do an assortment of effects/transitions to lots of clips, but you
can do any single one to many clips.

Select the clips on the timeline/storyboard first using standard Windows
selection methods... then right click on the selected effect or transiton
and add it to the storyboard/timeline. It'll go onto all of the clips you
selected.
