Apply column totals with Filters?

Have a simple spreadsheet that I have a total at the bottom of a column.
Would like to apply a filter and have the column total only be a summation
of entries that are displayed with the filter, not all entries. Is this
possible?

Use SUBTOTAL(). Something like:
=SUBTOTAL(9,B2:B100)
