Application Sharing Violation

I have been getting occassional sharing violation errors when trying to save
one of my files. I have been trying to figure out what is causing the issue,
but there is no consistency to the error. I've researched the web for issues
like this and saw some related to 2002, but there are not many details other
than to apply the latest update and it will fix the issue. Are there any
known file parameters or situations that would cause an issue like this (i.e.
large file size, many formulas and links, etc?). What about having windows
explorer open while doing a save? My file size is huge (200Meg+), I have all
the latest updates for my OS (XP) and for Excel (2003). The file is not set
for sharing or tracking changes. Any other info anyone may need to help
diagnose this issue, I can provide.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

I am also looking for solutions to this problem. Our files aren't quite as
large but there are quite a few, maybe about 20, that are opened at the same
time, changes made and then they are all saved. Occasionally one will fail
with this message.

We used to have this file as multiple files with links and had the problem
then as well. We had hoped that by combining, maybe we would eliminate the
problem, didn't work. Hopefully there is an answer out there that will help
both of us.
