Application mapping in IIS

Howard Smith

Hi

I'm trying to create a virtual directory in IIS, and I need to remove .asp
application mapping, so my BITS replicator can transfer asp files.

I can do this with the IIS snap in - i.e. right click virtual directory,
select configuration - remove .asp mapping.

My problem is I cannot find these entries in the registry or indeed
anywhere, does anyone know where they are?

Thanks

Howard

Search this group for adsutil.vbs I gave all explanations about this issue.

Hi Nikolai

Thanks for the tip, I found the thread.

I'm digging through the adsutil.vbs documentation, but I'm struggling to see
how to remove .asp etc mapping from a virtual directory

Well, you can try cscript adsutil.vbs ENUM W3SVC/1/ROOT then make
changes from the IIS console and do ENUM again. You can find what key
was changed and then probably could change it via adsutil.
Note that W3SVC/1/ROOT is not precise. It could be W3SVC/1/ROOT/YourVirtDir
