application hangs frequently

our access (2002) application hangs quite often. what is the reason and how
do i prevent it from happening again?
i tried changing the pc's virtual memory and i also tried to repair the
access application but it does not seem to fix the problem.

thanks for your help
 
By hang do you mean that it locks up completely or takes a long time to do
something?

What is happening when it locks up?

Any error messages?

Speaking of error messages, sometimes a popup will hide behind the
application window. Do an Alt + Tab to see if something hiding is hanging up
the database.
